UF EDGE Computer & Software Requirements

UF EDGE courses can be viewed in several different ways, streaming video, download to a DVD or download to your IPOD.

The basic computer requirements are:

• Broadband Connection: A minimum of 256K connection is required.


• Web Browser: The latest version of Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox are required. Other browsers may work but are not supported by UF EDGE.


• Media Player: the most recent version of Windows Media Player or Real Player are required.

You can test your computer set up by viewing our sample video. This sample is from Dr. Banks course "Geometry of Mechanisms and Robot I" Lecture, 8 taught in the Fall 2007 semester.

UF EDGE courses are viewed through Blackboard Vista, therefore you should also go to the Student Intro to ELS and click on Browser Tune-up
